Sally Pollitzer Stained Glass: Website Banner

Training first as a painter, Sally Pollitzer studied at the Central and the Byam Shaw Schools of Art in London. She later moved into the field of glasswork. She is now very experienced at employing traditional and contemporary techniques such as leading and laminating, enamelling and acid etching, using the best mouth-blown, 'antique' glass.

She works to commission only, undertaking projects for domestic, commercial and religious settings: the client's taste, together with the location, are carefully considered in her original designs. Sally has undertaken commissions for the House of Lords, the Princess of Wales Conservatory in Kew Gardens, the Church of the Good Shepherd, Tadworth, St. James's Church, Rowledge, Surrey and recently a new window for St.Mary's Church, Batcombe, Somerset.

Sally gives lectures on stained glass, covering the techniques of both historical and contemporary glass. She is a Past Master of the Art Workers' Guild, a member of the British Society of Master Glass Painters and the Society of Designer-Craftsmen.
